Chris Wall for Congress TX31

Chris Wall is currently a Patrol Sergeant for the City of Elgin Texas. During his 18 year career in law enforcement he has served as a Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Chief of Police. Chris is a third generation Texan who was born in Texas City, Texas. Growing up a son of an Army Sergeant Major, Chris spent his childhood traveling and living in several states including Virginia, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. He eventually found his way back to Texas where he has lived for the past 25 years. Chris and his family have made their home in Hutto Texas where they are raising their 1 year old daughter Courtney. He also has 2 older sons who live in the San Antonio area.

Chris’s hard work and sacrifice has earned him the title of Patrol Officer of the Year in 2010 and 2018, and he has also served as the President of the Roman Forest Police Officer Association. Chris is an advocate of police training, as he served on the East Montgomery County Training Facility’s training board, where he was also a police instructor. Chris has taken on numerous additional duties as he always strives to the professionalism of the department he serves. Some other positions include, Field Training Instructor, Field Training Supervisor, Evidence Room Manager, Department Training Supervisor, and Emergency Management Coordinator just to name a few.

Chris Wall is also a huge comic book fan. His grandfather introduced him to comics in the 1980’s and it developed into quite a hobby. In 2012 Chris had an idea for a new product line for comic book collectors. He studied manufacturing, product development, along with licensing and contracting all on his own. The result was starting his own business called Boxes in Action. The business focuses on custom comic book supplies. He succeeded in a market where he was told by market “Experts” that he would surely fail. Now 7 years later his company has a distribution partner and his products can be found in comic shops and on websites such as Walmart, Kmart, and Amazon as well as other online market places.

As a family man, public servant, and business owner Chris has always been a leader with a passion for truth and transparency. Inspired by the lack of leadership and integrity in our current Congressional leaders, Chris has chosen to run for Congress in Texas District 31. He looks forward to bringing back respect and accountability to the seat that belongs to the people of Williamson and Bell County. Chris wants you there with him as we take our district back from the special interest groups and career politicians who are self-serving and out of touch! It takes action, not finger pointing and opinions to move this country forward

The Issues

The following topics are just a few issues that I think are important to my family and I. If there is something important to you and your family that is not reflected here, feel free to reach out to me.

• Regulation of the Internet - I oppose any legislature that further regulates the internet in the United States or internationally.

• Social Security Opt-Out – I support legislation that allows individuals to Opt Out of Social Security.

• Small Business – I support and urge federal and state legislatures to reduce regulations on small businesses and home-based work.

• I support a smaller more efficient government.

• Affirmative Action - I believe in and support equal opportunity for all Americans regardless of race or gender.

• Right to Self Defense – I support lawful gun ownership. The idea that more regulation, and less freedom is the solution to gun violence is absurd. Policies and legislation need to respect our freedom while at the same time increase safety for all.

• I support term limits for members of Congress and The Senate.

• Government Surveillance – I strongly oppose all forms of warrantless government surveillance of American citizens and businesses.

• National Core Curriculum - I support the opposition of national or international standards in public schools (i.e. Common Core, United Nations Inclusion, CSOPE, etc.)

• I am pro-life and am against abortion as a form of birth control. I believe an abortion may be necessary in instances of rape, incest, or when the mothers life is in jeopardy. There should be no public funding for Planned Parenthood.

• Government spending is out of control. Congress needs to be held accountable for the constant over spending of hard working American tax dollars. A balanced budget is a necessity.

• Cybersecurity – I support efforts in cybersecurity to ensure privacy, elections, intellectual property, and public safety all while respecting the civil rights of Americans.

• Healthcare – I support the reform of healthcare. We should be moving towards more affordable healthcare options through a market-based, competitive, and transparent healthcare system. This should include tort reform, interstate competition, health savings accounts, genuine accountability, and oversight.

• I support veterans ability to use VA medical benefits at private medical providers and not be limited to VA Hospitals.
